The Dutch have a long history as a sea-going nation and forthcoming need for lifesaving equipment. With central organised search-and-rescue teams dating back to early 19th century the Dutch have always played a leading role in life saving innovations. Nowadays these innovations are still exported and adopted through out the world.
It was not so long ago that land based rescue boats were launched by Horse Power, literally. Nowadays the Royal Dutch Coast Guard utilises a fleet of 48 boats, with speeds exceeding 40 knots, equipped with our sophisticated NDM PRH 55 AP Fast Rescue Boat Davit. Though the techniques of deploying safety have clearly progressed through the years, the concept has never changed - bringing safety to life - our motto.
This page gives an impression of a century of safety, made possible by the dedicated man and women of the Dutch Lifesaving Associations.
